Please bring a helmet or ask to borrow one. Under 18 years old may join only if accompanied by a Parent/Guardian at all times during the ride. We break into groups according to ability. SUMMARY:Austin Bicycle Meals Delivery
DESCRIPTION:Austin Bicycle Meals delivers meals by bike to Austinites experiencing homelessness every Saturday and every other Wednesday each month. Ride with us as we pass out our meals as well as water\, feminine hygiene kits\, socks\, rain ponchos\, and dog food to our unhoused neighbors. \nWe ride and deliver as a group and we will provide all the food and items for distribution for everyone to carry. All riders need to bring is some way to carry meals on their bike\, a trailer or a basket works well but a backpack will suffice. Close toed shoes/helmets/lights are a good idea and we provide hi vis vests to wear as well. \nSaturdays rides are typically 4-6 miles and last about an hour with stops and drop-offs\, while Wednesday rides are around 10-12 miles and take about 2 hours.
